Features

he Blueair Pro series Particle filter uses HEPASilent technology. This is used in conjunction with ionization and electrostatic filtration, for higher levels of filtration efficiency.

Filtration Technology

Blueair air purifier filtration

The Blueair Pro series particle filter uses Blueair’s three-stage filtering system, which utilises many filters in one. The initial layers of the filter fibres are able to capture larger particles like large dust, pollen and the smaller layers capture particles such as bacteria and exhaust particles such as PM2.5 and PM10. With the use of different density fibres in the filters, the Blueair Pro series particle filter does not get clogged as quickly as other air cleaner filters that use electrostatic filters. This means that the Blueair Pro series particle filter is able to maintain a higher level of filtration efficiency over time.

Blueair has recommended that the filter should be changed every 6 months. The filtration efficiency will change over time and changing the filter on a regular basis ensures that your Blueair Pro series unit is working at its best performance. Actual filtration efficiency will depend on the speed setting the unit is running on, contamination levels and the remaining life of the filter.
