Product Description
The Blueair DustManget 5240i is Blueair’s latest air purifier which features their ‘DustMagnet’ technology. The DustMagnet 5240i also uses Blueair’s usual ‘HEPASilent’ filtration technology which combines electrostatic and mechanical filtration.
The Blueair 5240i features a dual inlet, dual outlet system. This means that air is moved faster and creates a vortex within the room. This unique approach enables the ‘DustMagnet’ to capture a high volume of dust from the air before is settles.
The ‘DustMagnet’ features discrete controls with Wi-Fi connectivity, as well as an auto mode and integrated air quality indicator. The integrated sensors (PM2.5) assess the air quality and display the air quality with one of 5 colours on the LED display.

‘DustMagnet’ Technology
This unique dual inlet, dual outlet system captures a large volume of dust before it can settle on the floor. The double inlet and outlet system creates a vortex and moves air faster. This results in faster removal of particles from the air.
Charged Pre-Filters
A unique combination of electrostatic and charged pre-filters is the key behind the Blueair ‘DustMagnet’. Dust particles are negatively charged in the room and the pre filter is positively charged. This attracts dust particles which help them stick to the filter like a magnet.
Interface
Intuitive two button controls with auto mode which adjusts the fan speed based on the air quality detected. Built in PM2.5 sensor assesses the air quality and provides 1 of 5 colours to let you know what the air quality is like.
Filtration Technology
The Blueair ‘DustMagnet’ uses a unique combination of electrostatic and charged pre-filters. The pre-filters have been positively charged and the dust in the air is negatively charged, this enables the dust to stick to the filters like a magnet. This ensures a longer life span for the filters as it captures the majority of larger particles.
While typical air purifiers simply push dirty air through a filter, HEPASilent™ technology combines two filtration technologies. This unique combination of two filtration technologies effectively removes 99.97% of airborne particles down to 0.1 micron, trapping micro plastics in addition to dust, pollen, pet dander, bacteria and smoke.
