Carbon:

Uses activated carbon with magnesium dioxide and copper oxide impregnation.

HEPASilent Technology:

The Blueair Pro series SmokeStop filter utilises a combination of ionisation, mechanical filtration, along with HEPASilent technology for the filtration.

SmokeStop:

The Blueair Pro series SmokeStop filter features activated carbon which is used to remove gaseous pollutants which include cigarette smoke and VOC’s (volatile organic compounds). The SmokeStop filter is also able to remove household paints and other chemicals.

Filter Service Life:

6 months (4 380 hours) when used 24 hours per day.

Country of Manufacture:

China

The Blueair Pro series SmokeStop filter combines particle and carbon filtration. It also uses Blueair’s patented HEPASilent technology. The HEPASilent technology is used in combination with ionisation and electrostatic filtration.

Blueair air purifier filtration

The Blueair Pro series SmokeStop filter uses Blueair’s multi-stage filtration system. This system has multiple layers which act as several filters in one. The primary layers of the filter are able to capture particles like pollen, dust and the smaller layers capture particles such as bacteria, PM2.5 and PM10 exhaust particles. With the use of different density fibres in the filters, the Blueair Pro M SmokeStop filter does not get clogged as quickly as other air cleaners that use electrostatic filters. This means that the Blueair Pro series SmokeStop filter is able to maintain a higher level of filtration efficiency over time.

Blueair has recommended that the filter should be changed every 6 months. The filtration efficiency will not always be consistent and will change over time. Changing the filter on a regular basis enables your Blueair Pro series SmokeStop unit to work at its best. Actual filtration efficiency will depend on the speed setting the unit is running on, contamination levels and the remaining life of the filter.
