The IQAir GC VOC XE is a high-performance air purifier designed for effective removal of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), gases, odours, and airborne particles. It combines the trusted multi-cartridge chemical filtration of the GC line with the XE model’s advanced features, including sensor-based automation, app-controlled filter life monitoring, and Swiss precision engineering. The unit runs quietly and efficiently, maintaining strong airflow and performance, making it well-suited for homes, workplaces, and individuals with chemical sensitivities.

Filtration Technology

  1. Micro-Particle Filtration: The first stage is an H11-class HEPA pre-filter that captures fine particles such as pollen, pet dander, mould spores, and PM2.5. This pre-filter protects downstream filters and helps maintain strong airflow over long periods. 
  2. Gas & Odour Filtration: The core system uses four large gas & odour cartridges filled with activated carbon and chemisorption media that target a broad spectrum of VOCs, formaldehyde, combustion fumes, and solvent odours. The weight and distribution of the media are engineered to ensure prolonged and effective chemical removal.
  3. Electrostatic Post-Filter Sleeves: After gas filtration, fine dust and any residual particles are captured by electrostatically charged post-filter sleeves. These sleeves prevent carbon abrasion particles from escaping and deliver final air polish. 
  4. Leakage-Free and High Surface Area Design: The purifier uses a leakage-free housing combined with maximised surface area in the pre-filter and the gas cartridges to ensure that airflow is optimised and pollutant exposure is spread across the filtration media, increasing lifespan and consistency.
