HyperHEPA Plus Filtration

The IQAir Atem HyperHEPA Plus filter is the new generation filter from IQAir for use with the Atem Car air purifier. This new filter is able to filter out virtually all particulate pollution as well as a wide range of chemicals, gases and odours, such as Formaldehyde, VOC’s, Sulphur Dioxide, Benzene and Nitrogen Dioxide. The HyperHEPA Plus filter does this by absorption of gases and odours and changing the pollution to an oxidized form. This means that the IQAir Atem HyperHEPA Plus filter will help you effectively control the broadest range of airborne pollution in your car.  

The HyperHEPA Plus filter is also very effective against the removal of PM2.5 contamination, this includes pet dander, bacteria, viruses and pollen. The filter media used has a surface area of 0.23m2 and has a particle efficiency of up to 99%.

HyperHEPA Plus Filtration

The IQAir Atem HyperHEPA plus filter has a surface area of 0.23m2 and is able to filter out particulates as well as chemicals, gases and odours. The filter is able to remove ultrafine particles which can be smaller than 0.1 microns in size and provides a total system efficiency of over 99% at 0.3 microns. The Atem filter can effectively remove pet dander, dust, viruses, bacteria, mould spores, allergens, in addition to chemicals, gases and odours. It does this by combining two types of media, one that absorbs odour and gases and the other that changes the pollutant to an oxidized form. Filter life is 1 year based on average daily usage of 3 hours on default speed 3.

HyperHEPA Filtration

The IQAir Atem HyperHEPA filter is the same type of filter which is used in other IQAir air purifiers. It is based on IQAir’s patented HyperHEPA technology which is made from a mixture of synthetic and anorganic fibers that has a surface area of 0.3 m2. The IQAir Atem HyperHEPA filter has an efficiency of over 99% for particles down to 0.3 microns and is able to effectively remove: allergens, dust, mould spores, pet dander, viruses and bacteria. The IQAir Atem HyperHEPA filter uses only mechanical filtration and does not use ionisation which releases Ozone.
